Frequently asked questions

Where is sign on and how do I get there?

Sign on will be located just outside of the main building, the best way to describe to any customer enquiring would be to direct them to the entrance of the W.O.W centre as sign on shall be located just outside of there.

Are there toilets and changing rooms onsite to use?

There will be portable toilets located on the circuit to use during warm up and the race as well as toilets being available in the main building for both abled and disabled bodied users (participants/spectators) to have access to. In addition, toilets are also located just outside of the main building in the changing rooms for each specific gender.

The easiest way to direct people to the changing rooms would be to direct them to the workshop and then explain that the changing rooms are just behind there. If you could let each participant know that the changing rooms include lockers and showers also that would be great.

Do we need to pay for car parking?

Car parking charges for this event will be £1.20, we may need to look at opening the over-flow car park if we start getting sufficient numbers.

Baby changing facilities if required?

We do have baby change facilities in the venue; this is located in the main building near the toilets.

How do we set up a Virgin Giving fundraising page?

Please direct customers to our dedicated website page https://www.cyclopark.com/events/the-healing-zone-half-marathon/ where there will be a step by step guide published to inform all participants about the best way to set up  their fundraising profile.

What Charities are the fundraising donations going to?

All funds generously raised by this event by the participant, via their funding page will be split between The Ellenor, to aid their invaluable work with families that face terminal illness, and to The Cyclopark Charitable Trust to help fund the procurement of additional adaptive bikes for disabled children.

What can we use while we are here?

While families are at the venue, the play area will be free to use for all participants. Entrance for the Skate Park needs to be done at reception on the day with wristbands being given as normal. Both the mountain bike trails and main circuit will be closed for the event – no other users apart from participants of the event and authorised personnel will be allowed on the track.

I am a spectator, where would be best to watch someone compete?

For anyone interested in spectating, please direct them to the large gravel area outside of the main building and recommend the viewing patio from outside the café (please mention purchasing from the café before going to stand in this area – all proceeds from Park Eat goes back to the charitable trust

What is the schedule for practice?

The circuit will be available for warm up/ practice from 8:15am on the day of the event. There will be a scheduled warm up with a dedicated fitness instructor at 8:45am if the participant chooses to take part in it.
