Martin Baxter BMX

My name is Martin Baxter and I am pleased to introduce myself as the Associate Officer for BMX at CycloPark.

I have been involved with BMX racing in the UK for nearly 30 years, first as a racer, but not a very good one!!, and for the last 8 years as a BMX Dad and official for the South Region. I now run my own National Race Team and fulfil the role of Secretary for South Region BMX.

In my role of Associate Officer for BMX at CycloPark I hope to help bring new participants to the sport at our fantastic facility, to build a strong coaching ethos and encourage families to get involved in a sport that thrives on its full family participation. We are so fortunate that we have a world-class track at CycloPark, one of only a handful in the UK, and that coupled with the other great facilities at CycloPark we have everything we need to bring on the next generation of champions. BMX is a sport that rewards its competitors at all levels, from the first time novice to the Olympic Champion and at CycloPark we hope to make them all welcome and be part of the future of the sport.
