Billy-Joe Whenman Mountain

I am a 21 Year old Full Time Cyclist , attended North West Kent College for a BTEC National Diploma in Sport & Exercise Sciences for two years and achieved Merit, Pass, Pass (B,C,C at A Level). I was accepted by the University of Brighton to study Sports Development & Coaching, but turned down the place to fulfil my lifelong dream of becoming a full time pro cyclist.

I began competing at the age of 11 and have been entering, and winning national competitions from the age of 14.

My 2010 aims are to compete at a high level in World Cup Mountain Bike Races, Gain Selection for the European and World Championships, Compete and gain a top 5 placing in the National Cross Country Series and to become the 2009 National Under 23 Cross country Champion.

My 2011 Aims are to Win the National Under 23 Cyclo Cross Championships, To Win the Under 23 Category in the National Series for MTB and also National MTB Championships, and in return be selected to represent England in the Common Wealth Games.

My long term aim is to compete in the 2012 Olympics in London and be in contention for a medal, Also to compete in the 2010 Commonwealth games.
My other aims are to compete in World Championships representing Great Britain, in road, MTB and cyclo cross. My dream is to ride as a full time professional cyclist with the aim of competing in the Tour De France and other Grand Tours.
