cycloBMX

CycloBMX will be home to a 340 metre, first-class
racetrack designed and built by the UK’s premier
track builder, Clarke and Kent Contractors. Contained
within an arena providing excellent spectator viewing,
the track will have the potential to host major events
and attract national and international standard riders.
CycloBMX will also have a free ride or pump track
ideal for beginners to learn the basics; and a lower
level start hill aimed at the early stages of coaching.
These facilities will be used to develop youth cyclists
through British Cycling’s Go-Ride programme.

cyclocircuit

Cyclocircuit will offer a smooth, tarmac circuit 2.9 kilometres long and 6 metres wide, ideal for cycling races, coaching sessions, training rides and general fitness cycling as well as skating and running.

The circuit can be separated into a number of smaller circuits so whatever the activity or ability, everybody can perfect their skills. From inline skating and competitive wheelchair racing, to slalom skateboarding and adventure racing the flexibility of the layout means that many sports and competitions will be catered for. These facilities will be used to develop youth cyclists through British Cycling’s Go-Ride programme and provide opportunities to deliver other national governing bodies’ sports programmes.

  • Circuit A

     

    To Hire

    The longest of the circuits provides varied gradients of up to 10%.
    The maximum gradient of the circuit of 10% is located at the approach
    to the underpass between circuits D and F.

    The circuit can be subdivided dependant on the user’s choice with
    the start and finish area outside the pavilion. The width of the circuit
    is 6m wide.

    The total distance of circuit A is 2.5km (+0.4km links).

  • Circuit B

     

    To Hire

    Circuit B forms the main circuit within the park using the pavilion as
    start and finish. This 5m wide circuit provides good viewing of the
    BMX and Skateboard Park and offers a maximum gradient of 8%.

    The total distance of circuit B is 1.15km.

  • Circuit C

     

    To Hire

    With maximum gradients of 8% circuit C provides a complete loop of the other main facilities at Cyclopark such as the BMX and Skateboard Park. Excellent viewing and start/finish area are provided adjacent to the pavilion. The width of the circuit is 5m wide.

    The total distance of circuit D is 0.75km.

    To Hire

    Provides a circuit suitable for Inline Skating, Wheelchair Racing, adapted Cycles or for coaching purposes. Circuit D has gentle bends and a maximum gradient of 0.5%. The width of the circuit is 5m wide.

    The total distance of circuit E is 0.4km.

    with long straight sections. The maximum gradient for Circuit F is 7%.

cycloplay

Cycloplay will be a 600 metre squared multi-use games
area located opposite the pavilion. It will provide a venue
for the whole community to enjoy a variety of sports;
from a recreational game of basketball between friends
to a competitive game of 5-a-side football or other
small court sports.

cyclotriathlon

Linking in with local pools, we have the potential to provide a venue for triathlon/duathlon events, or provide the perfect place for your weekly training in whichever sports discipline you wish.

You are able to hire out the entire venue for mass start events or specific areas of the park for weekly club training and activities.

cyclocountry

Whether a seasoned rambler or a family looking for
a fun day out in the great outdoors; Cyclocountry
will provide a starting point to explore the beautiful
Kent countryside by bike or on foot.

With paths that also connect to the surrounding countryside, Cyclocountry offers 43 hectares of landscaped parkland with extensive areas of new planting and open, wildflower grasslands.

cyclorun

Cyclorun will make use of 43 hectares of parkland
connected to surrounding areas of beautiful Kent
countryside, as well as almost 3km of tarmac track.
This will provide the perfect venue for regular training
events or a local clubs running base.

You are able to hire out the entire venue for mass
start events or specific areas of the park for weekly
club training and activities.

cyclofest

Cyclopark wishes to encourage the use of the park
for multi-sport festivals and arts and culture events.

cyclokids

Cyclokids will provide younger visitors with an amazing 3,000 square metre cycle-based playground, where imaginations can run wild. This is equivalent to half of Wembley Stadium’s football pitch! The space can be hired for parties or just to enjoy with your friends.

cycloterrain

Cycloterrain will be 6 kilometres of mountain bike
trails running throughout the park and designed
by World Cup trail designer, Hugh Clixby. From
beginners, to those who thrive on the challenge
of adrenaline pumping berms, drop-offs and rock
gardens; there will be something for all riders as
each trail has been designed for different abilities.

These facilities will be used to develop youth cyclists through British Cycling’s Go-Ride programme.

Cycloskate has been planned with local skaters and leading skatepark designers to ensure that it offers a real challenge. At the 1,400 square metre Cycloskate, skaters of all abilities will learn from each other and the spectator area will be a great place to watch the action.

Cycloability will ensure that Cyclopark provides a fully accessible facility with a wide range of activities to suit individual needs. The pavilion will provide full wheelchair access to refreshment areas and changing facilities; and the tarmac circuit provides smooth terrain for wheelchair users and adapted cycles.

Please note that by completing this form you are reserving a date and area to be used and that the information given will be passed on to the operator of the park when appointed.

Kent County Council, the Operator and the organisation booking have the right to cancel the reservation at any time with no cost to any party.

On receipt of your booking form Kent County Council or the operator will contact you and confirm this booking with the required paperwork and any payments deposits required.

Prices shown are an indication of the
prices only and will be set by an operator
once appointed. Prior to this appointment a
charge of £3.00 per person will be made.

Kent County Council is responsible for the building and development of the site, on completion of all building and development work the site will be handed over to a Leisure Trust (the operator) for day to day management. Any operator appointed should be in place around December 2011, at this point the prices shown here are an indication of the charges that will be made.

Due to high demand Kent County Council will be enabling limited events to take place from the 15th October onwards. As there will not be an operator in place during this period any events that are arranged will be charged at £3.00 per person.
