Cyclopark raises its profile at Kent summer event

Thu 19th, Aug

Cyclopark has had a busy summer and participated in two high profile Kent events in July; BikeRadar Live 2010, the UK’s ultimate bike festival at Brands Hatch in Kent, and Gravesham’s Big Day Out, the finale to the borough’s Big 7 festival. At both events, the ever informative project team manned a stand offering visual displays of design plans and information about the activity park and cycling in Kent generally.

Chris Down, Event Director at BikeRadar Live 2010, said: “Bike Radar Live is the UK’s ultimate bike festival, and the leading event for biking enthusiasts in the South East. Cyclopark will be the premier venue for cycling in the South East so our event was the perfect opportunity to promote such an innovative and ground breaking project. It was fascinating to visit the stand and find out more about everything the park will offer and I, for one, cannot wait to visit Cyclopark!”

Cllr Mike Snelling, Leader of Gravesham Borough Council said: “The Big 7 festival is the summer highlight for Gravesham and was bigger than ever this year! There was something for everyone and we are delighted to have welcomed so many visitors to the area. The Big Day Out was the perfect finale to the festival and as well as some great entertainment, lots of local projects made the most of this valuable opportunity to showcase their work. Cyclopark will be a huge draw for Gravesham and the wider Kent Thameside area when it opens in 2012 and we were delighted to support the project at this year’s Big Day Out.”
